    Vivax-Metrotech
    Introduces NEW OTA-Over the air updates for vLoc3-RTK

    Keep up with the latest vLoc3 software release with over-the-air (OTA) updates. With the OTA updates, vLoc3 Receivers deployed in the field will no longer require the MyLocator3 PC app to run the latest optimized features. OTA eliminates using a PC and USB cable while keeping your fleet devices up to date.

    Please note OTA update functionality require version 2.1 and above. The vLoc3 will first need version 2.0 installed via MyLocator3 and a USB. OTA Updates are automatically downloaded in the background without interrupting the user's workflow. Users can continue to collect data and operate the vLoc3 as normal.

    An overview of the OTA Update will indicate during the power-up. The vLoc3 uses the cellular network to communicate with the VMMap server, comparing the current software release to the one installed in the RTK-Pro device.

    Once an OTA Update is available, the vLoc3 will prompt the user at device power-up and ask if they want to update now or later. If you select later, the device will continue its boot-up process and work normally.

    If the Update Now option is selected, the software Update will automatically install and complete within a few minutes.

    Once the Update completes, the vLoc3 will require a power cycle to operate on the newest software revision with the latest features.

    In case of an unsuccessful installation, users will be prompted to try again. If this occurs, correct the issue and power cycle the receiver, and the device will attempt the software installation again.

    A little over a year ago, in the early morning hours of March 3rd, 2020, the Nashville area became ground zero for the devastating storms and multiple Tornadoes that wreaked havoc on the Music City. Areas affected the most were downtown Nashville, Lebanon, and Cookville. The videos below are how we found the building the morning after the storm and how Eastgate Blvd. appeared several days later when all the emergency crews were on-site restoring power.

    The LMX100 is now equipped with DynaT multi-frequency UWB radar. DynaT is the equivalent of using a low, medium and high frequency to enhance utility detection. Some manufacturers refer to this as "Multi Frequency".

    The LMX200 has been updated to include SplitView which now allows users the ability to view LineView and MapView at the same time and on the same screen. This allows users to be more productive when producing deliverables from the job site.
