The Laser Methane Mini (LMm) is a truly portable and handheld detector that offer users the ability to detect methane remotely. What once was a time consuming and resource draining procedure can now be completed in a fraction of the time by utilizing the best in Tunable Diode Laser Adsorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS).
Current methods such as FID, require users to be within arm's reach of a potential methane source and to position the detector into the gas cloud, often requiring scaffolding or special access equipment to reach the area of interest. No longer is that an issue when using the Laser Methane Mini (LMn). The LMm handheld only need the emitted beam to pass through the gas cloud in order to detect methane. This is done by simply pointing the laser beam towards a suspected leak, or along a survey line and the handheld instrument will monitor the level if methane is detected.
Using the smartphone application users can generate reports with GPS in real-time.
